You will be sent a link on Monday, August 1 that will give you access to prerecorded material.  You will have access to these videos and bat-themed lesson plans until the end of the scientific portion of the NASBR meeting, ending on August 12.

During the meeting, we will have a live, online question and answer session via Zoom, with educators and researchers from the scientific meeting, from 1:00-3:00 pm CST on Wednesday, August 10.  This session will include experts from both academic and non-academic careers involving bats.  Get your bat-related questions answered, as well as questions regarding the educational materials and how to get students excited about bats and conservation!  During the live session, we will raffle off bat-themed educational materials for hands-on opportunities with your students.

For those of you who are locally joining us, we have an expert guided tour of the incredible emergence of millions of Mexican free tailed bats from beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge. This will take place on Thursday, August 11 at sundown. Take a stroll with us from the Downtown Hilton in Austin, Texas to the bridge while we share stories and science!  Specifics on the timing of this event will follow as we get closer to the date and better know the time of the emergence. We will offer a recorded version of this guided tour for non-local educators who are only able to join us remotely.

We look forward to meeting you at the question-and-answer session!  If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to direct them to NASBRteacherworkshop@gmail.com
